The lip marker relies on a water-based film-forming system — including VP/methacrylamide/vinyl imidazole copolymer and PVP — that binds pigment evenly to the lip surface as it dries, delivering colour that stays in place without transferring easily. Sodium hyaluronate and glycerin help retain moisture during wear, while tocopherol (vitamin E) provides antioxidant support. The shaped applicator tip actively influences colour distribution: the fine edge concentrates pigment along the contour, while the flat side spreads it uniformly across the lip.

The gloss works through a different mechanism. Cocoglycerides and raspberry seed oil form a lightweight, oil-rich layer over the lips that reflects light and creates a plump, glossy appearance.
