Self tan spray is quick and easy to apply – you simply blend it out lightly for an optimal result. Self tan lotion only needs to be massaged in and is ideal for harder-to-reach areas, such as your face or the back of your legs and arms. Looking for the best result on your face? Application and protection

For the self tanner to adhere well, it's important that your skin is smooth and even, which you can achieve by using a scrub first. This exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells so the self tanner can bond properly. If you choose a self tanner with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF), your skin is immediately protected against harmful UV radiation too. Do note that not every self tanner contains SPF. Is that your preference? Then choose from the self tanners by Académie, for example.

For an optimal result

Before applying spray tan or self tan lotion, it's important to cleanse the skin thoroughly first and use a day cream for optimal skin protection. Then apply the self tanner. On the face this is best done with a cotton pad, avoiding the hairline and eyebrows. For the rest of the body you can use a tanning mitt or your bare hands. Just make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after application if you don't use a mitt. For the best result, we recommend using the self tanner two to three times a week.
