How it works

The formula contains 5.5% gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid (PHA). PHA molecules are larger than those of traditional AHAs and BHAs, so they work mainly at the surface: loosening the bond between dead skin cells and encouraging natural cell renewal without overloading the skin. Enzymes support this gentle exfoliating process. Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice and glycerin add a soothing, hydrating feel, while Opuntia Ficus-Indica and açaí (Euterpe Oleracea) extracts complete the formula. The result is a smoother canvas that absorbs actives such as vitamin A more effectively and makes a better base for make-up. The toner does not increase sun sensitivity.

Texture and use in your routine

Press & Glow has a light, water-like texture that absorbs instantly and leaves no film. Use it morning and evening straight after cleansing, for example after Surface Radiance Cleanse. Follow with your vitamin C serum such as C-Tetra plus an SPF in the morning, and your Crystal Retinal in the strength that suits your skin at night – exactly as set out in the Medik8 CSA philosophy. This refill is designed to top up your existing Press & Glow bottle.

Apply Press & Glow morning and evening to cleansed skin using a (reusable) cotton pad or your hands. Sweep gently over face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Allow to absorb fully before applying serums and moisturiser. Start with once-daily use to let your skin adjust, then build up gradually to twice daily. Always use an SPF during the day.

Skin feels smoother and fresher from the first applications. With daily use the complexion looks clearer and more even, pores appear refined and the skin gains a natural glow. Products applied afterwards absorb noticeably more comfortably.
