Medik8 Clarifying Foam from the Medik8 Acne line is developed specifically for acne-prone skin: an antibacterial blemish cleanser that combines effective acid cleansing with a gentle formula that respects the skin barrier. It lifts away excess sebum and impurities without drying your skin out.

How it works

The foam works with a combination of AHA and BHA. Mandelic Acid (AHA) loosens dead skin cells on the surface, while Salicylic Acid (BHA) penetrates deep into pores to target excess sebum and cellular debris. Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil supports the antibacterial action, and Niacinamide keeps the formula mild and comfortable on skin. Tocopherol (vitamin E) adds antioxidant support. Together they help prevent new blemishes and leave the complexion looking visibly clearer.

Texture and where it fits in your routine

A light texture that lathers quickly in your palms and rinses away completely, with no tight after-feel. Suitable for daily use on oily, combination or acne-prone skin. If your skin is very dry or reactive, choose a milder Medik8 cleanser such as Surface Radiance Cleanse instead. Use the foam as step one: in the morning before your vitamin C and SPF, and in the evening before your vitamin A. Always follow with a hydrating serum such as Hydr8 B5 and a moisturiser to keep skin balanced.

Can I use it with retinal?

Yes. Cleanse with Clarifying Foam, rinse thoroughly and only then apply your retinal. Build up vitamin A gradually and drop the foam back to once daily if skin feels sensitive.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The formula is gently built but contains acids and tea tree. Start with one use per day so your skin can adjust, and avoid the eye area.
